Akpan played in 11 games for the Wild and finished 5th on the team in tackles with 47.5. Akpan also accumulated two interceptions during the season.
Akpan will be playing in his 4th season for the Wild. Akpan was the team's second leading tackler in 2008 with 55.5 tackles. Akpan played his college ball at McPhereson College. In 2006 he was an All-Conference selection and Team MVP.
