Greg Nicks

Nicks played full back  at Butler County in 1998 when the Grizzlies finished with a 12-0 record and won their second NJCAA National Championship.  Nicks  played offensive line at Butler in 2000 when the Grizzlies finished 10-2 and #6 in the final NJCAA poll.  Nicks finished his college eligibility at Kansas and was the team’s long snapper during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.  Nicks also played guard and center on the offensive line during his time with the Jayhawks.

 

 Nicks spent the summer of 2004 in mini camp and rookie camp as a center and long snapper with the Kansas City Chiefs.  After being let go by the Chiefs, Nicks spent time as a teacher in Lawrence and was a police officer in Wichita for 3-and-a-half years.  Nicks currently works in sales at Kansas Building Products.
