Hicks will be playing in his second season of indoor football. The Wild went 7-2 after Hicks joined the Wild eight games into the 2009 season. Hicks anchored an offensive line that helped the Wild average 91.4 rushing yards per game after he joined the team.
Hicks played his college football at East Carolina (ECU). In 2008, Hicks missed the first four games of the season before seeing playing time in the final nine games as the Pirates finished 9-4 and won the Conference USA title. It was ECU's first conference title in 32 years. The Seffner, FL native started five of the nine games he played at center in 2007. ECU had a 100-yard rusher in each game that Hicks started. Hicks played in 19 games during the 2004 and 2005 seasons as a defensive tackles.
