With training camp opening in just over a week, the Wichita Wild has made their final signings in the defensive backfield.  Joining the Wild are former NCAA Division I standouts JJ Milbrook and Chris Patterson.  This will be the first pro season for both players.

Milbrook was a four-year letter winner at East Carolina.  His final season with the Pirates was in 2008 when he compiled 47 tackles and played in 13 games.  Milbrook finished second on the squad in pass breakups with seven and added two interceptions.  In 2007, the Miami, FL native appeared in 12 games and tallied 47 tackles and led the team with three interceptions.  In 2006, Milbrook saw action in all 13 games on special teams for the Pirates.  He recorded six tackles during the campaign.  As a freshman in 2005, Milbrook saw action in seven games.

Patterson played for Kansas State during the 2007 season.  The Chicago, IL native played in 12 games and recorded 18 tackles.  Before joining the Wildcats, Patterson played one season at Joliet Community College in Joliet, IL.  Patterson tallied 34 tackles and three interceptions for the Wolves.  He was named to the All-NJCAA Region IV Team for his performance.  In 2005, Patterson played at Northeast Oklahoma A & M.  Patterson started all 11 games for the Golden Norsemen and finished fourth in the conference in tackles with 105.  He earned first team All-NJCAA honors and was rated by Rivals.com as the 22nd best junior college player in the nation following the season.

Patterson lives in Wichita and will be graduating from Friends in May.
