Wild Things Announce New Dance Director; Tryouts January 9

December 17, 2009 -

The Wichita Wild is excited to announce that Lindsay Wray will be continuing her involvement with the Wild Things as Dance Director for the upcoming season.  Wray will be in her fourth season with the Wild Things.  LaTisha McFarthing performed the duties of Dance Director in 2009 and has accepted a position as a full-time dance coach at Coffeyville Community College.

Along with her experience with the Wild, Wray danced for three seasons for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.  Wray also danced for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League for one season.

Lindsay modeled professionally for six years with Entertainment and Show Productions.    While on a calendar shoot in the Bahamas, Lindsay met her future husband, Ryan, who lived in Hutchinson.  Lindsay eventually married Ryan and moved to Hutchinson.  Lindsay and Ryan have two sons, Ethan (6) and Zachary (4).

Lindsay is the Office Administrator for Wray Bend Architectural Metal Co. and is also a Fit Life instructor at Genesis Health Clubs.  Lindsay enjoys writing, working out, listening to music, jet skiing, traveling, and spending time with her family.  Lindsay is involved with many charities included teaching Sunday School and acting as Fundraiser Coordinator for her church.

"First, I want to publically thank LaTisha for all her hard work as Dance Director.  She took this program to new heights" said Wild General Manager Mike McCoy.  "We have known Lindsay for years and are excited about her new role with the organization."

Wray and the Wild Things will be holding their final tryout for the 2010 squad on January 9 at Hartman Arena.  The tryout will run from 3:00  to 5:00 PM with registration starting at 2:30 PM.  Dancers must be at least 18 years old and new or non-experienced dancers are encouraged to tryout as well.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Wild office at Hartman Arena in Park City.  Registration forms are also available online at http://www.wichitawildfootball.com/wildtryouts.php.  There is a registration fee of $20.  Completed registration forms can be sent or dropped off to the Wild office along with a money order or cash for the audition fee.

The Wichita Wild will play seven home games at Hartman Arena in 2010.  The regular season runs from February-June with playoffs to follow.  The 2009 Wild finished with a 10-7 record and were crowned the Indoor Football League's Central Division Champions.
